Diversity Council
At Crabtree, we aim to celebrate diversity with in our community and the wider world and develop confidence in individual identity. Our tailored curriculum and reading books are both powerful tools that educate our children about the diverse and wonderful world we live in.
Our Diversity council is made up of children from both schools and we have monthly meetings to discuss how we can ensure all of our community feel included at Crabtree. In November each year, we celebrate Diversity Day where all children and staff have an opportunity to share what makes them special. This year, we focused on Diwali and each year group created some Rangoli inspired art.
The Diversity team have also chosen our new house names: Malala, Attenborough, Simmons and Rashford. The children discussed each inspiring persons identity and are now proud to use the house names to inspire and learn about others.
